Little Pink and Red Things

So with it being so close to Valentines’ Day, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite Pink and Red things—Great little gifts for giving on Valentines’ Day that are perfect for saying I love you!

OPI Nail Lacquer

I don’t know what it is about OPI but I am OBSESSED.

One of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2011 was to stop my horrible habit of nail biting. And I do this with OPI Polish. They always leave my nails feeling strong and the colors are so vibrant and fun!

Pictured above are just some of my favorites:
Mauve-lous Memories, You’re Such A Kabuki Queen, California Raspberry, The Thrill of Brazil, and I’m Not Really A Waitress.

My two all time favorite shades though would have to be Catch the Garter, a neutral light pink that is PERECT for doing French Tips, and Lincoln Park After Dark, a deep purple that I love :)

Plus, OPI's Website is a great place to stop by before you buy your nail polish, you can test out the shade electronically!

Stabilo point 88 Pens

I first stumbled across these wonderful little pens when I was in Germany in high school. They are small and fine point and come in, like, every color under the sun. I love taking notes in these little pens, as well as doing little doodles or addresses on Valentines. They are perfect for their vibrant colors and soft ink!

While you can find them literally anywhere overseas, the best place to find them in specialty stores or here on the Office Depot website.

Free Fonts from KevinandAmanda.com

TALK ABOUT ADORABLE. My sweet friend, Felicia, got me hooked on this blog that has everything from recipes to scrapbooking ideas, to easy crafts, to fun photography. But the best thing by far are all the fonts available for download, no if, ands, or buts!

Not only are all the fonts BEYOND adorable, but they all have probably the cutest font names ever. Here are some of my most favorite Valentine’s Day ones :)

Does that last font look familiar? It’s the font used for the blog titles!!

And I just LOVE the way these fonts look in use. I’ve used them in everything from Christmas gifts, to Powerpoints, to Blog Design.

If you’re interested in downloading any of these fonts, just click on the picture to be taken to KevinandAmanda.com!!

To Install them (Windows User):
1.)    Download the file. When the download is complete open it.
2.)    The file will open as a zip drive. Select the button in the window that says Extract All Files.
3.)    A window will open asking you to choose a file destination: choose your Desktop.
4.)    After the file has opened, look on the left hand side for the list of file names.
5.)    Expand the file (but DO NOT double click) Computer à OS (C:)à Windows
6.)    Scroll down in the Windows File until you see Fonts
7.)    Drag the icon for the font downloaded from the Desktop window into the Fonts file!

See how easy that is?? And the best part is that they’re ALL FREE. Yes, that’s right. All of them. :)

So download those suckers and make some valentines! Be sure to check out the Pea Fonts too—look up your name! There could be one named after you!

PINK by Victoria’s Secret Collegiate Collection Sweats

If it were socially acceptable to LIVE in these sweats, believe me I would.

These sweats are, without a doubt, the GUILTIST pleasure I own. PINK sweats in general are so cute and cozy, but you throw a little Hoosier Spirit into the mix and I’m sold.

The Collegiate Collection has separate lines of clothing for all different colleges and university—including most, if not all, Big 10 schools!

I have worn these pants literally everywhere. They are beyond comfortable and I love the little rhinestone hearts down the leg and the ribbon tie string!

Don’t even get me started on this t-shirt. It’s made out of the same material that Jersey sheets are made out of. So so so soft and cozy. The best part? It feels like pjs but doesn’t look like pjs. Which means on a lazy day I can still look nice.

And Oh, my Word. This sweater. It’s long enough to cover my butt so it’s perfect to wear out in the cold, unpredictable Bloomington weather. Plus, it feels like I’m wrapped up in a blanket while still staying true to my form. It’s not like one of those hoodies where I look like I’m wearing a sleeping bag. It’s perfect!

PINK doesn’t just do collegiate sweats. They recently started a line for NFL gear (including the Chicago Bears!) and they also have “day-to-day” sweats. I have a v-neck hoodie that’s purple. These sweats = LOVE.

Dark Kiss Fragrance by Bath and Body Works

With a tagline like “Our Sexiest Fragrance Yet” it might seem a little intimidating to purchase this fragrance. But I would argue that it is not so much sexy as it is romantic. I love wearing this one when I go out for a nice dinner. It’s the perfect blend of all the right berries and blooms to set the feel for any romantic night out.

So I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day and that some of my favorite things help in all decisions you may be making. When in doubt, there’s nothing wrong with flowers and chocolate.

They work EVERY time :)

Happy Valentine’s Day, from Us to You!
